00:00:01.022 --> 00:00:10.375
If the idea of tying your purpose to your passion and creating profit from that is intriguing to you, then I promise you you're going to want to listen to this episode.
00:00:11.560 --> 00:00:27.359
This is the Secret Sauce Podcast with Chad Treese and Lacey Moores, where we want to help people build big businesses and live big lives, and we think that there's not a magic bullet for doing that, but there is a secret sauce, and we think that there's not a magic bullet for doing that, but there is a secret sauce.
00:00:27.359 --> 00:00:30.678
So a lot of these are going to be just the ingredients that can help you make up a secret sauce to build a big business and live a big life.
00:00:30.678 --> 00:00:32.265
Let's get into it.
00:00:32.265 --> 00:00:34.299
Welcome back everybody.
00:00:34.299 --> 00:00:41.021
I'm Chad Treece here with Lacey Moores and this is the Secret Sauce Podcast, and we've got our amazing guest, todd Screama.
00:00:41.021 --> 00:00:44.584
We've got our amazing guest, todd Screama.
00:00:44.584 --> 00:00:58.575
He is a genius, huge inspiration to Lacey and I, my personal coach right now, also yours, I believe, right, and we're excited to share him with the world once again.
00:00:59.155 --> 00:01:06.516
So let's talk about purpose passion, profit, passion, profit.
00:01:06.799 --> 00:01:09.644
So actually some of this was inspired through Lacey, so I'll I'll tell that story here in a minute.
00:01:09.644 --> 00:01:13.111
Um, I think so.
00:01:13.111 --> 00:01:15.903
This is the easiest way I could describe this concept.
00:01:15.903 --> 00:01:38.105
If you, my, my stepmother, was a fourth grade school teacher for 35 years and if you asked her why she did it, she'd just look at you with these big old Garfield eyes and say I just love those children and that's what made her such a great school teacher.
00:01:38.105 --> 00:01:40.995
And we're like, oh, todd, that's normal.
00:01:40.995 --> 00:01:43.444
You know, my fourth grade school teacher was the same.
00:01:43.444 --> 00:01:45.819
My mom's a school teacher, the same, you know.
00:01:45.819 --> 00:01:51.572
So it's so easy for some seemingly for some professions to have so much purpose.
00:01:52.019 --> 00:01:53.825
Well, not too many people are teaching for the profit.
00:01:55.911 --> 00:01:57.484
Yes, so I get that.
00:01:57.484 --> 00:02:08.367
I have two of my friends that were college roommates and they became firemen and they're passionate about being firemen.
00:02:08.367 --> 00:02:09.792
Yeah, like, really passionate.
00:02:09.792 --> 00:02:17.512
Like you know the truck looks amazing and they do have some stories about taking the kid out of the burning building.
00:02:17.512 --> 00:02:21.931
You know it doesn't happen that much, but the two or three times in your life career that it does, it's a big deal.
00:02:21.931 --> 00:02:27.163
Yeah, hey, they would come home and brag about hey, we stopped this fire.
00:02:27.163 --> 00:02:31.421
It was going to cost, you know, the insurance company at least five million dollars on this factory.
00:02:31.421 --> 00:02:32.604
We put it out so fast.
00:02:32.604 --> 00:02:37.205
It's probably 500 000, you know, and they would, they were proud of that, like that was another p in the fourth p.
00:02:37.366 --> 00:02:40.480
Yes, big pride in that yes, that was a big deal to them.
00:02:40.480 --> 00:02:56.943
Um, in in mortgage and real estate, you, the industry that we are in, I have seen that the last few years like this is the long since the 80s, since we had such a down market, okay, so it's been hard.
00:02:56.943 --> 00:03:08.104
So, and it's one of the things that's been hard for me, is how do you keep that same passion when you're not making as much money but yet you're working as much or more?
00:03:08.343 --> 00:03:13.413
I would say yeah so so you know, what is it that fires it up?
00:03:13.413 --> 00:03:22.903
So about a year ago, uh, lacy and I were coaching, and we coach in groups of three and and I was kind of on this kick and I'm like you know what is?
00:03:22.903 --> 00:03:27.633
What is your purpose behind doing this, besides just making money?
00:03:27.633 --> 00:03:30.085
Because I would, I would.
00:03:30.085 --> 00:03:37.405
If you're just doing something for money, it's maybe like eating Rice Krispies for dinner, like it just doesn't quite do it.
00:03:37.405 --> 00:03:40.872
You're like, well, todd, I work because I got to, you know, pay the bills or whatever.
00:03:40.872 --> 00:03:47.366
You especially find this with people that like you, guys that are further along in your career and you've saved money.
00:03:47.366 --> 00:03:54.193
And I was in that same position and at first, when I was in my 20s, it was just about making money.
00:03:54.193 --> 00:03:55.439
It was so exciting.
00:03:55.479 --> 00:03:57.569
I was going to say that I was going to say yeah for a while.
00:03:57.569 --> 00:04:01.662
There, it is enough, yeah, yeah, just the money, the thought of the money is enough.
00:04:01.921 --> 00:04:02.763
Yeah, no problem.
00:04:02.763 --> 00:04:11.688
But I will tell you it was about the eighth loan I closed as a loan officer, 32, 33 years ago.
00:04:11.688 --> 00:04:18.934
And this young person calls me and finally I'm like, hey, you sound kind of young, you're really getting a mortgage loan.
00:04:18.934 --> 00:04:21.014
You've got to be 18 to buy a house, is what I'm thinking.
00:04:21.014 --> 00:04:23.857
And she says I'm calling from my parents.
00:04:23.857 --> 00:04:27.612
She was 16, they're Vietnamese, they don't speak English.
00:04:27.612 --> 00:04:29.420
I said, oh, they're buying house.
00:04:29.420 --> 00:04:31.766
Yeah, I said let me make this easy.
00:04:31.766 --> 00:04:35.105
I'll just come to your house, you'll be the interpreter, it'll be great.
00:04:35.747 --> 00:04:51.348
So I sat down the living room about this size, there's 16 family members me and mom and dad and their daughter and you know a bunch of others just hanging out watching us, you know and took the loan application.
00:04:51.348 --> 00:04:54.702
I go to leave and you know this family didn't have a lot of money.
00:04:54.702 --> 00:04:56.588
She tries to slip me a hundred dollar bill.
00:04:56.588 --> 00:04:59.482
I said, no, no, no, the company pays me.
00:04:59.482 --> 00:05:01.264
I appreciate that Very honored.
00:05:01.264 --> 00:05:03.007
Long story short.
00:05:03.007 --> 00:05:14.466
Loan closes and there's a receptionist up front, giza, and Giza says Todd, hey, you have a bunch of people here in the lobby, it's like 16 of them.
00:05:14.466 --> 00:05:16.865
I'm like I don't have an appointment, but I'll be right up.
00:05:16.865 --> 00:05:18.009
So I go up there.
00:05:18.009 --> 00:05:19.665
Here is this Vietnamese family.
00:05:19.665 --> 00:05:25.870
They just closed and instead of moving there, they shut down the the family.
00:05:25.870 --> 00:05:33.973
Everyone came over and they made four plates of Vietnamese food, like 50 pounds each, like literally feed 40, 50 people.
00:05:33.973 --> 00:05:46.175
And you know, we just we're hugging and we're crying and uh, you know, just was my first time I really felt, wow, I'm doing something here.
00:05:46.379 --> 00:05:47.384
I love what.
00:05:47.504 --> 00:05:55.769
I do, yes, I'm making money, but I'm really doing something here, and that is that whole tie-in.
00:05:55.769 --> 00:06:06.927
So, if you think about it, if you find people that are really top 10% of their profession, I would argue with you that they have a deep passion behind what they're doing.
00:06:08.973 --> 00:06:10.723
With any longevity whatsoever.
00:06:11.350 --> 00:06:13.817
Yeah, people that have 20, 30, 40-year careers.
00:06:13.817 --> 00:06:23.463
They have that passion and I think either some people have lost it or they don't know how to maintain it.
00:06:23.463 --> 00:06:33.903
It's easy to be passionate when you're making $100,000 a month, but when you're not, you've got to look in the mirror and say, okay, I'm sure the market will recover, right.
00:06:33.903 --> 00:06:38.742
There's a bunch of weirdness around COVID and all the stuff that happened, but do I still love what I do?
00:06:39.331 --> 00:06:39.572
Right.
00:06:39.872 --> 00:06:40.855
And why do I love it?
00:06:40.855 --> 00:06:45.050
And only you can answer those things, like no one else can answer those things.
00:06:45.050 --> 00:06:47.595
So Lacey said hey, make sure you be tactical.
00:06:47.595 --> 00:06:48.656
So this is the emotional.
00:06:48.656 --> 00:06:52.262
Tactics is if you wake up on a Saturday.
00:06:52.262 --> 00:06:56.591
Now, for realtors that's normal, but for a lot of people it's not.
00:06:56.591 --> 00:07:03.932
But just to use that as a metaphor, your day off and you're happy to work on a project that involves your business.
00:07:03.932 --> 00:07:05.514
That's passion.
00:07:06.437 --> 00:07:06.658
Right.
00:07:07.499 --> 00:07:19.057
Secondly, when you talk to someone about it, it lights you up, like you literally see their face light up, their eyes get wider, they smile, they laugh.
00:07:19.057 --> 00:07:20.379
That's passion.
00:07:20.379 --> 00:07:22.264
Okay, watch people with children.
00:07:22.264 --> 00:07:32.737
Right Last night I'm running around this one year old cutest little niece I've ever had and I'm in pure joy and everything's like a wonder to her.
00:07:32.737 --> 00:07:36.603
Like a pencil, we were painting, we were doing arts and crafts.
00:07:36.603 --> 00:07:40.137
It's just amazing that a paintbrush could paint on a canvas.
00:07:40.137 --> 00:07:47.059
And when you see that and people light up about whatever that subject is, that means they're passionate about it.
00:07:47.059 --> 00:07:51.011
And what was my third one?
00:07:51.011 --> 00:07:52.175
I just forgot it.
00:07:52.175 --> 00:07:53.454
If you love talking about it, yeah, no, it's.
00:07:53.475 --> 00:07:53.654
Saturday.
00:07:53.654 --> 00:07:54.177
And what was my third one?
00:07:54.177 --> 00:07:54.660
I just forgot it.
00:07:54.660 --> 00:07:55.644
If you love talking about it.
00:07:56.687 --> 00:07:59.471
Yeah, no, it's.
00:08:00.372 --> 00:08:02.415
Saturday, if you wake up filled with passion to do it.
00:08:03.237 --> 00:08:06.262
It turns into profit, though, or to money.
00:08:06.742 --> 00:08:17.254
Well, yeah, I'll think of the third one in a minute, but I've actually seen this with your uh hospitality and I've seen this with your, with your purpose, with the mission.
00:08:17.254 --> 00:08:23.396
So this year, myself and my daughter, my girlfriend, get to go with you on that trip in a I don't know four months or something.
00:08:24.137 --> 00:08:48.490
Um, so I, I'm pressing lacy on a coaching call, I don't know roughly a year ago, and uh, she wrote out uh, and I can't, I won't remember off the top of my head, uh, but it was like I, my results are this I do this and I give 10 of my income to an orphanage, uh, you know, in mexico, to help support these abused children, and so she went even where you're going?
00:08:48.750 --> 00:08:50.092
huh, you don't even know where you're going.
00:08:50.092 --> 00:08:50.894
You're going to to Guatemala.
00:08:50.914 --> 00:08:52.938
Guatemala it's fine.
00:08:53.360 --> 00:08:54.120
It's on the calendar.
00:08:54.120 --> 00:08:54.923
I know we booked it.
00:08:54.923 --> 00:08:55.443
You're going.
00:08:57.190 --> 00:09:09.707
And so you know, Lacey tied her way of part of the purpose of her business and not just serving clients, not just serving her family, but now serving underprivileged children, Absolutely.
00:09:10.028 --> 00:09:11.355
Yeah, that's a great tie-in.
00:09:11.596 --> 00:09:18.403
It doesn't really have a damn thing to do with mortgage, but to you it does, because you made it that way that's an end to a means, or a means to an end.
00:09:18.462 --> 00:09:20.245
Yeah, that's a means to an end, right.
00:09:20.325 --> 00:09:27.427
Yeah, in your hospitality life I've seen you have so much joy in that and it really spread across the country within our company.
00:09:27.427 --> 00:09:29.272
People like what is Chad doing?
00:09:29.272 --> 00:09:46.548
You've given talks about it, you've taught lunch and learns on it and people are like wow, I can really just make my purpose to blow people away with service level, with strategy, with how to do this, how to get ahead, and it really has taken hold for you.
00:09:46.548 --> 00:09:51.491
But then you're also giving it away to other people that you coach and within our company.
00:09:51.491 --> 00:09:53.903
And I needed it just for the record.
00:09:53.903 --> 00:09:54.927
I know we're short on time here.
00:09:54.947 --> 00:09:56.932
You were crispy, I was, you were crispy.
00:09:57.399 --> 00:10:01.611
Post-COVID mortgage era, chad was not fun to be around.
00:10:01.611 --> 00:10:05.951
Prior to Unreasonable Hospitality, I wasn't really sure.
00:10:06.480 --> 00:10:08.067
I didn't love the business anymore.
00:10:09.980 --> 00:10:18.326
The money piece didn't mean as much to me anymore after COVID, where it was like literally just printing money right, um, and it became really easy.
00:10:18.326 --> 00:10:21.721
And so now it's hard again, and now I have to figure out how to go do this thing.
00:10:21.721 --> 00:10:22.903
That's hard, that was so easy.
00:10:22.903 --> 00:10:25.971
For the two years leading up to that, like I was really.
00:10:25.971 --> 00:10:32.705
I never voiced it, but I was like in the back of my head, I was like I don't know if I want to keep doing this anymore.
00:10:32.705 --> 00:10:35.691
Um, and so, yeah, that was just.
00:10:35.691 --> 00:10:39.345
It came at the perfect time, like it was like delivered on a silver platter to me.
00:10:39.345 --> 00:10:42.379
The unreasonable hospitality like I know for a fact.
00:10:42.379 --> 00:10:48.052
It was put in front of me for a reason to like get my passion back for it um and like, yeah, it's become contagious, our whole team loves it.
00:10:48.072 --> 00:10:50.418
but and like, yeah, it's become contagious, our whole team loves it.
00:10:50.679 --> 00:10:57.866
But also important to know, whether it's me or you or Lacey or anybody else, everyone's going to go through those times.
00:10:57.866 --> 00:11:00.092
Definitely so you're not like.
00:11:00.092 --> 00:11:05.607
If you're listening to this and you're like, yeah, I may have lost my passion, it's normal to go through that, right.
00:11:05.607 --> 00:11:08.664
And if you're like it hasn't happened yet, it probably will, yeah, right.
00:11:08.804 --> 00:11:09.044
Yeah.
00:11:09.105 --> 00:11:15.942
It took it took 20, 22 years for that to hit me, um, but it hit me like a ton of bricks.
00:11:15.942 --> 00:11:23.264
So, uh, refining something that brings that passion back, because, yeah, unreasonable hospitality doesn't really have, it's not directly tied to mortgages.
00:11:23.264 --> 00:11:25.067
I don't need to do that to do mortgages.
00:11:25.067 --> 00:11:33.991
But if I wake up every day and think my whole goal for today is, can I make somebody's day, can I put a smile on somebody's face, can I leave them better than I found them?
00:11:33.991 --> 00:11:38.288
That jazzes me up and I am excited to go to work.
00:11:38.288 --> 00:11:39.951
I'm excited to work on other projects.
00:11:39.951 --> 00:11:50.368
That, like it all now ties back to I have an opportunity, through mortgage, to make people's day yeah, well, and Chad, I think about that and just go a little bit deeper with it.
00:11:50.969 --> 00:11:54.383
I knew you way before you found reasonable, unreasonable hospitalities.
00:11:54.383 --> 00:12:01.871
We've worked together for years, we've been good friends for years and, yes, I would be the first to say you were, you were crispy like and it, you weren't you.
00:12:01.871 --> 00:12:16.807
And when you found that I still remember, when you know, at our, our sales retreat, they put you on the big stage and just the passion of it and I was just so happy and I was so proud because I'm like that's Chad, like people are finally getting to see Chad with your passion.
00:12:16.807 --> 00:12:23.884
And when you're passionate about something, you bring it, and I think that's everybody.
00:12:23.884 --> 00:12:37.006
So that's why it's so important you bring so much more to life in our industry and in our relationships friendship, I mean, all those things and, gosh, it feels good.
00:12:37.006 --> 00:12:41.270
I remember texting Robin, because you know that's the chat.
00:12:41.270 --> 00:12:46.309
I know I was so proud and so it changes everything.
00:12:47.039 --> 00:12:53.006
Yeah, it does, for sure it's so good when you can stop and you do go through the season and you are crispy or whatever it is.
00:12:53.006 --> 00:12:57.948
You don't have to stay there and you have to find that and you've got to figure out what it is.
00:12:57.948 --> 00:13:04.961
But I mean, you had us go through and rewrite, because we do change in our seasons, and rewrite your mission statement, because it does change.
00:13:04.961 --> 00:13:06.123
What does that look like?
00:13:06.123 --> 00:13:08.125
And you made just spend some time on it.
00:13:08.125 --> 00:13:09.225
You're like, nope, go deeper.
00:13:09.225 --> 00:13:13.811
Like I want you to think deeper on that, and okay, and you know you do.
00:13:13.811 --> 00:13:17.936
And then when you find it and when you do it again, it's like you're excited about it.
00:13:18.216 --> 00:13:27.611
You know, yeah, I've told you like this last year, even though it's been so hard, it's been my favorite year in the industry and that rocks people's world.
00:13:27.611 --> 00:13:40.831
That I say that but it's because I finally, like I'm so passionate and happy about my team, our size, what the impact that we're having, like all of those things now, and I'm okay with it.
00:13:40.831 --> 00:13:49.832
I've been huge, I've been small, I've done all of this and, man, this is where I love it and I feel so productive but also balanced and all those things.
00:13:49.832 --> 00:13:56.707
And so I wouldn't have really tied all that together, had you not pushed us into relooking at that again.
00:13:56.707 --> 00:13:57.852
And where are you at right now?
00:13:57.852 --> 00:13:58.778
And it does, man.
00:13:58.778 --> 00:13:59.821
It gets you fired up, doesn't?
00:14:00.743 --> 00:14:06.943
it, yeah, yeah, no doubt, like I mean, I'm I'm so grateful for it, like it is the most been the most energizing thing for me.
00:14:07.504 --> 00:14:22.908
For sure, I remember seeing you on the big stage that you're talking about and people were truly moved because your passion and that also plays out with individual clients it plays out with your team- Like if you're, if you're, buzz killed like I.
00:14:22.908 --> 00:14:29.231
Always go back to this like people are, there's a big piece of us that are animalistic and we can pick up on things.
00:14:29.231 --> 00:14:30.686
We pick up when people are scared.
00:14:30.686 --> 00:14:33.448
We pick up, subconsciously, when people are depressed.
00:14:33.900 --> 00:14:39.472
We pick up when they're, you know, in their negative thoughts or whatever it is.
00:14:39.472 --> 00:14:51.182
It's just like that saying you walk in your home, you know after a long day and you kind of tell the mood that the spouse is in right, that's that.
00:14:51.221 --> 00:14:51.703
That's that.
00:14:51.703 --> 00:14:52.667
That's that.
00:14:52.667 --> 00:14:54.735
Well, anyone, everyone has that.
00:14:54.735 --> 00:15:06.808
And so if you're sitting in front of a listing and you're not that excited and the next person is, they can tell that and they don't say that first realtor didn't seem excited.
00:15:06.808 --> 00:15:11.659
They say you know, I just think Cindy, the second one is going to work hard for us.
00:15:11.700 --> 00:15:12.700
There's just something about her.
00:15:12.700 --> 00:15:15.666
There's something about her Right and that's how that plays out.
00:15:15.666 --> 00:15:24.951
And so people underestimate that in sales and influence a lot, and so when you do have these things that you're passionate about, it just shows up.
00:15:24.951 --> 00:15:29.068
You know, I was excited I'd get up at four o'clock in the morning this morning to drive here.
00:15:29.068 --> 00:15:32.999
And we're going to bed and adrian's like what are you doing tomorrow?
00:15:32.999 --> 00:15:39.927
I said we're shooting some podcasts and then we're giving a talk to some realtors and then we're having a barbecue at the house with all the employees and it's going to be a great day.
00:15:39.927 --> 00:15:42.981
She's like man, you get fired up about that stuff I'm like I do.
00:15:43.423 --> 00:15:46.505
I think it's fun yeah, my wife doesn't understand it either.
00:15:46.566 --> 00:15:51.312
Uh, half the time when I'm talking to her about stuff and she's like I, I don't get it.
00:15:51.312 --> 00:15:56.462
But like that's okay, other people don't have to get it, they just have to see it in you.
00:15:56.462 --> 00:16:01.140
They have to like you're, you're just like emanating that uh, is that the right word?
00:16:01.140 --> 00:16:05.566
Like you're just vibrating at a higher frequency and like that is what it's all about.
00:16:05.566 --> 00:16:14.916
When you find that purpose and you tie it with passion, it just changes everything in the way that people view you, the way that you are to people.
00:16:14.916 --> 00:16:15.616
It's just different.
00:16:16.863 --> 00:16:20.111
It's an attractor and it's a sales skill or influence.
00:16:20.111 --> 00:16:24.248
People don't like that term sometimes, sales skill it's an influence skill, right?
00:16:24.248 --> 00:16:40.828
You walk in and I have this friend who's top 10 in the country for AAA insurance and we went to college together and we've been friends ever since and she lights up a room and she is fun and she is get it done and I'm like it's no wonder she had one year.
00:16:40.828 --> 00:16:42.052
She was number one in the country.
00:16:42.421 --> 00:16:46.265
But, she's always top 10 last several years and people are like how does she do that?
00:16:46.265 --> 00:16:47.841
Listen to her.
00:16:47.841 --> 00:16:56.195
I went to her office before to sign a policy and I was walking towards her office and I could hear her from 30 feet away.
00:16:56.195 --> 00:17:06.326
She's so, you know, going after this client in a fun way and, if that should be obvious to the other salespeople, there's like 20 other salespeople in her office.
00:17:06.326 --> 00:17:07.910
She's number one in the country.
00:17:08.570 --> 00:17:11.582
And it's obvious why Right People don't?
00:17:11.582 --> 00:17:16.462
They're like, ah, she's just got God gifted her with gab, or you know.
00:17:16.462 --> 00:17:17.246
They say all these things.
00:17:17.246 --> 00:17:19.027
I'm like, no, she cares more.
00:17:19.461 --> 00:17:21.267
She has her passion and maybe you don't.
00:17:21.528 --> 00:17:21.709
Yes.
00:17:21.819 --> 00:17:30.784
And that's why it doesn't make sense to you, that's why you don't understand how she like.
00:17:30.784 --> 00:17:44.412
And so, really, I think that's the point of this is, man, if you're not feeling excited, if you're not like, if you're comparing yourself to other people and wondering how they do, that it could totally come down to the fact that you need to figure out what that is or what's missing and why you don't have that excitement, that passion.
00:17:45.020 --> 00:17:48.409
I always say business is like a game, so life is like a game.
00:17:48.409 --> 00:17:57.542
So when you're in halftime or the end of the quarter, take some time to reevaluate that stuff, as we all did, right, everyone has to go through this.
00:17:57.542 --> 00:18:07.648
And there was a time, I know, probably a year and a half ago, and it was like a month of funk and I'm like, okay, gotta talk to some people.
00:18:07.648 --> 00:18:17.680
I end up talking to Robin, I end up talking to Jim, talk to Dave Kammerer, and I'll kind of reset my passion button, like, okay, this is it right, change my vision a little bit.
00:18:17.680 --> 00:18:19.664
And I've been fired up ever since.
00:18:20.266 --> 00:18:26.837
It's normal to go through those quarters and those halftimes where you got to reevaluate and if you're not sure what to do, that's also normal.
00:18:26.837 --> 00:18:29.042
Ask some smart people, right?
00:18:29.042 --> 00:18:35.441
If you're in a coaching program or you know brainstorming with you guys, if you're local, those kinds of things.
00:18:35.441 --> 00:18:40.528
That's what's going to work, that's what's going to allow you to get out of that funkiness.
00:18:40.528 --> 00:18:42.998
Right, you don't want to walk through your life like Thigpen.
00:18:42.998 --> 00:18:46.625
You know that dark cloud and peanuts hanging over him all the time.
00:18:46.805 --> 00:18:48.387
Yeah, you don't want to do that, right?
00:18:48.387 --> 00:18:49.269
It's not a fun life.
00:18:49.394 --> 00:18:49.575
Chad.
00:18:49.575 --> 00:19:28.459
What I'm hearing there like for you and me, though, where Todd blows us away is how often he takes his temperature Right, and I think that that's something that we should take our temperature more and I know our listeners, that's what I hear in that you've learned a skill of making yourself take that temperature a lot faster, so when you do see yourself struggling, you can figure it out and recorrect a lot faster, so your recovery time is just faster, and so I hear that a lot, and I appreciate you push us sometimes to do that when you see it in us, um, but I know there's people that I can help do that as well, and then I can help um.
00:19:28.459 --> 00:19:33.455
Let them see hey, you're in this sooner, you know big time and I that's.
00:19:33.556 --> 00:19:56.227
it's a really good reminder for me to like get out of my own way on that piece of it, as far as like going and making sure that our partners and the people yeah you know realtor partners and our partners at home, like all those people like checking in with them and making sure that, like can we lend a hand in that, um, because that's been an uncomfortable place for me to like not get into that before and it's like now such a big piece.
00:19:56.247 --> 00:20:01.426
I know that I would be forever changed a a different, negative person without it.
00:20:01.467 --> 00:20:05.910
So like you know, sometimes people just need the push or the judge, right yeah.
00:20:06.171 --> 00:20:08.138
Yeah, and same with your spouse, I mean you're.
00:20:08.240 --> 00:20:09.885
you know Jay Shetty says once a month.
00:20:09.885 --> 00:20:14.862
I just asked my wife scale of one to 10, how am I doing Right and I do stuff like that.
00:20:14.862 --> 00:20:19.068
I'm like if I'm less than an eight, okay what's one thing I can do better.
00:20:19.108 --> 00:20:19.528
What's something?
00:20:19.548 --> 00:20:20.589
that's bugging you, you know.
00:20:20.589 --> 00:20:23.671
You know that it's the same in your personal life as it is your business.
00:20:23.671 --> 00:20:30.061
It's being self-aware and pushing yourself to be uncomfortable, Like you just said that's hilarious, cause I say that to my customers all the time.
00:20:30.102 --> 00:20:33.578
I'm like, if you don't have a level of clarity, that's at least an eight by the time we leave here, wife.
00:20:33.578 --> 00:20:34.359
So I'm always learning.
00:20:34.359 --> 00:20:34.800
I'm always learning.
00:20:41.335 --> 00:20:42.377
That's a great tactic.
00:00:01.022 --> 00:00:10.375
00:00:11.560 --> 00:00:27.359
00:00:27.359 --> 00:00:30.678
00:00:30.678 --> 00:00:32.265
00:00:32.265 --> 00:00:34.299
00:00:34.299 --> 00:00:41.021
00:00:41.021 --> 00:00:44.584
00:00:44.584 --> 00:00:58.575
00:00:59.155 --> 00:01:06.516
00:01:06.799 --> 00:01:09.644
00:01:09.644 --> 00:01:13.111
00:01:13.111 --> 00:01:15.903
00:01:15.903 --> 00:01:38.105
00:01:38.105 --> 00:01:40.995
00:01:40.995 --> 00:01:43.444
00:01:43.444 --> 00:01:45.819
00:01:45.819 --> 00:01:51.572
00:01:52.019 --> 00:01:53.825
00:01:55.911 --> 00:01:57.484
00:01:57.484 --> 00:02:08.367
00:02:08.367 --> 00:02:09.792
00:02:09.792 --> 00:02:17.512
00:02:17.512 --> 00:02:21.931
00:02:21.931 --> 00:02:27.163
00:02:27.163 --> 00:02:31.421
00:02:31.421 --> 00:02:32.604
00:02:32.604 --> 00:02:37.205
00:02:37.366 --> 00:02:40.480
00:02:40.480 --> 00:02:56.943
00:02:56.943 --> 00:03:08.104
00:03:08.343 --> 00:03:13.413
00:03:13.413 --> 00:03:22.903
00:03:22.903 --> 00:03:27.633
00:03:27.633 --> 00:03:30.085
00:03:30.085 --> 00:03:37.405
00:03:37.405 --> 00:03:40.872
00:03:40.872 --> 00:03:47.366
00:03:47.366 --> 00:03:54.193
00:03:54.193 --> 00:03:55.439
00:03:55.479 --> 00:03:57.569
00:03:57.569 --> 00:04:01.662
00:04:01.921 --> 00:04:02.763
00:04:02.763 --> 00:04:11.688
00:04:11.688 --> 00:04:18.934
00:04:18.934 --> 00:04:21.014
00:04:21.014 --> 00:04:23.857
00:04:23.857 --> 00:04:27.612
00:04:27.612 --> 00:04:29.420
00:04:29.420 --> 00:04:31.766
00:04:31.766 --> 00:04:35.105
00:04:35.747 --> 00:04:51.348
00:04:51.348 --> 00:04:54.702
00:04:54.702 --> 00:04:56.588
00:04:56.588 --> 00:04:59.482
00:04:59.482 --> 00:05:01.264
00:05:01.264 --> 00:05:03.007
00:05:03.007 --> 00:05:14.466
00:05:14.466 --> 00:05:16.865
00:05:16.865 --> 00:05:18.009
00:05:18.009 --> 00:05:19.665
00:05:19.665 --> 00:05:25.870
00:05:25.870 --> 00:05:33.973
00:05:33.973 --> 00:05:46.175
00:05:46.379 --> 00:05:47.384
00:05:47.504 --> 00:05:55.769
00:05:55.769 --> 00:06:06.927
00:06:08.973 --> 00:06:10.723
00:06:11.350 --> 00:06:13.817
00:06:13.817 --> 00:06:23.463
00:06:23.463 --> 00:06:33.903
00:06:33.903 --> 00:06:38.742
00:06:39.331 --> 00:06:39.572
00:06:39.872 --> 00:06:40.855
00:06:40.855 --> 00:06:45.050
00:06:45.050 --> 00:06:47.595
00:06:47.595 --> 00:06:48.656
00:06:48.656 --> 00:06:52.262
00:06:52.262 --> 00:06:56.591
00:06:56.591 --> 00:07:03.932
00:07:03.932 --> 00:07:05.514
00:07:06.437 --> 00:07:06.658
00:07:07.499 --> 00:07:19.057
00:07:19.057 --> 00:07:20.379
00:07:20.379 --> 00:07:22.264
00:07:22.264 --> 00:07:32.737
00:07:32.737 --> 00:07:36.603
00:07:36.603 --> 00:07:40.137
00:07:40.137 --> 00:07:47.059
00:07:47.059 --> 00:07:51.011
00:07:51.011 --> 00:07:52.175
00:07:52.175 --> 00:07:53.454
00:07:53.475 --> 00:07:53.654
00:07:53.654 --> 00:07:54.177
00:07:54.177 --> 00:07:54.660
00:07:54.660 --> 00:07:55.644
00:07:56.687 --> 00:07:59.471
00:08:00.372 --> 00:08:02.415
00:08:03.237 --> 00:08:06.262
00:08:06.742 --> 00:08:17.254
00:08:17.254 --> 00:08:23.396
00:08:24.137 --> 00:08:48.490
00:08:48.750 --> 00:08:50.092
00:08:50.092 --> 00:08:50.894
00:08:50.914 --> 00:08:52.938
00:08:53.360 --> 00:08:54.120
00:08:54.120 --> 00:08:54.923
00:08:54.923 --> 00:08:55.443
00:08:57.190 --> 00:09:09.707
00:09:10.028 --> 00:09:11.355
00:09:11.596 --> 00:09:18.403
00:09:18.462 --> 00:09:20.245
00:09:20.325 --> 00:09:27.427
00:09:27.427 --> 00:09:29.272
00:09:29.272 --> 00:09:46.548
00:09:46.548 --> 00:09:51.491
00:09:51.491 --> 00:09:53.903
00:09:53.903 --> 00:09:54.927
00:09:54.947 --> 00:09:56.932
00:09:57.399 --> 00:10:01.611
00:10:01.611 --> 00:10:05.951
